As you know, bread has to be chosen with the eyes... At Forn Balboa, it's going to take you a while to make your choice, because you're going to love this "panadería" bakery.

 

On your way to the beach, via the Barceloneta, we recommend stopping off at this wonderful, authentic bakery and patisserie.

Authentic because this bakery knows how to make sourdough bread the way you should always buy it. It offers a wide choice of breads for lovers of all kinds of flours: spelt, rye, seed, cereal, white, focaccia, bread with tomato...

 

We didn't get to try the many typically Catalan pastries, such as those made for Sant Jordi, Easter or Three Kings, but the sandwiches are also delicious and very practical before heading off to the beach!

not to miss If you like Gaudi
The architecture of the Palais Güell is very distinctive, with a slightly Gothic atmosphere, but whether you like it or not, the visit is well worth the diversion. I recommend the audioguide (included in the price of admission) which, as well as being very well produced and comprehensive, is essential for understanding the history of the place and imagining the life of its inhabitants. Allow a good hour.
