Why buy the Barcelona City Pass?

  • The concept is very innovative. It is the first time that a city offers a formula that combines preferential skip-the-line tickets and accessible transportation, all online and by e-mail. We like the quick and practical aspects of the concept.
  • The choice of the two main must visit tourist attractions is a good idea: the Sagrada Familia and Park Güell are the two most popular monuments for visitors.
  • Discounts of 10% in other monuments, museums, and places of interest are appreciable. The offer encompasses the important places that everyone should see.
  • However, you must visit these two places at least to be able to monetize the City Pass. If you also use to visit some other place with the offered discount, then it is really a must. Prepare your trip to Barcelona well to enjoy it
  • The Sagrada Familia and Parc Guell are the most popular attractions in the city. Time slots are required to distribute the number of visitors as well as for the tourist bus. Please note that after entering the Sagrada Familia or Parc Guell, you can stay as long as you like.

Once you have made the reservation you will receive an e-mail with a discount code and a link where you can buy online more products applying this 10% discount like the Camp Nou Experience, Casa Batllo, La Pedrera, games of FC Barcelona and much more!

  • Which tickets are skip the line tickets in the Barcelona City Pass?

You can skip the line at all highlights included in the City Pass: Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, Hop on Hop off Bus.

  • How can I select the dates and times for Sagrada Familia and Park Güell in the City Pass?

The date and time of the visits to the Sagrada Familia and Parc Güell must be specified when purchasing the city pass. Both monuments have time slots so that there are not too many visitors at the time you visit them.

  • How long is the City Pass valid?

The City Pass is valid for an unlimited period. You can only visit each place once. For the tour Hop-on hop-off bus, it is important to know that the ticket is valid for one calendar day and not for 24 hours. You cannot start using it one day and end your tour the next. You must therefore organize yourself to take full advantage of the day you have chosen.

  • Are children under 4 years free if I buy the city pass?

You can bring your children for free and they don´t need a ticket.

  • When the Hop on Hop off ticket is activated?

The tickets for the Hop on Hop off Bus are valid from the moment you start using them.

  • Route of the Barcelona hop on hop off bus

Find here the Barcelona Hop on Hop off 's route:

► Download the complete guide here

  • Any problem because the ticket has my name but not the ones of the people who will join me?

Not a problem, it is the barcode which is important.

  • We are more than one adult. When we want to reserve the tickets how do we make sure we all get the same entry time?

We recommend to make the reservation all together. The time slots for Sagrada Familia and Park Güell run out quickly so it is important to make the reservations together or close to each other.

  • If there is no option to select a date?

This means that it's an open ticket, no need to visit it on a specific date.

  • Is there any senior discount and facility for wheelchair person?

There is no special rate for this but there is already so much discount included in the City Pass that it is worthwhile to purchase it.

  • What can I do if I haven't receive my tickets?

Check also your spam. If you did not received them in your SPAM you probably did not filled in your availability yet. Please do and you will receive all tickets by email.

  • Can I change my schedule of Park Guell or Sagrada Família?

Unfortunately Sagrada Família or Park Guell doesn't allow any change after issuing the tickets.

  • How can I get the Park Güell audioguide?

At the entrance of Park Güell the staff will inform you how to download the audioguide.

  • How can I get the Barcelona Audioguide?

This audioguide will be send to you by email so you can download the audioguide to your phone. We recommend to take your headphones so you can listen to the audioguide when you want.

  • Does the Barcelona City Pass includes Public Transportation?

The Barcelona City Pass does not include Public Transportation. With the Hop on Hop off Bus you do have an easy method to see the city in a relaxed and fun way! When you want to add the Hola Transport Card you can use your 10% discount code to purchase the tickets after your reservation for the Barcelona City Pass. The Hola Transport Card can be used directly at the metro station and you do not have to print your tickets. Click here for more information.

  • What is the cancellation policy of the Barcelona City Pass?

The participating attractions do not accept changes in time slots or cancellations and therefore the Barcelona City Pass is non-refundable.

Tickets FAQ - All about your tickets to visit Barcelona

We are totally at your service to help you with any questions you may have before or after purchasing your ticket. Problems receiving your ticket? A question before you buy? We answer you within the day, all year round!

Contact us: ticketing@barcelona.com and specify your name, first name, order number if you have it and remind us your email - the same email as your order - to facilitate the processing of your file.

  • What does a 100% mobile ticket mean?

A 100% mobile ticket simply means that your ticket - which you will receive by email just after your purchase - will be - in its electronic form (PDF) - sufficient to enable you to make your visit with your smartphone or tablet. All you have to do is present it at the checkpoint. A simple scan will allow you to make your visit.

  • Can I print my ticket?

You can of course print your ticket if you don't have a smartphone, a tablet or if you simply prefer this option. Upon receipt of the confirmation email, simply print the PDF of the ticket. Then just present your printed ticket at the checkpoint.

  • What does a 100% skip the line ticket mean?

A 100% skip the line ticket means that the ticket in question allows you to enter the place you want to visit in Barcelona without queuing, for example at the ticket office. All you have to do is present your ticket directly at the entrance. This way, you won't lose any time on your day of discovery.

  • What's included with this ticket?

On this same page or on the ticket reservation page - the services included with the purchase of your ticket are systematically indicated. See the "Included" or “Inclusions” section for details.

  • Why do I have to specify a date when buying a ticket?

When you are asked to specify the date of your visit, it is because the monument or service you have chosen to visit also requests it. Most of the time, this date allows tourist sites to limit the number of visitors and therefore to make the visits more fluid. Please note that if you are not asked to specify the time of your visit, this means that you can arrive at any time to visit the site - while respecting the visiting hours of the site in question.

  • Why do I have to specify a date and time when purchasing a ticket?

Same as before, but here in addition to the date - the monument or service you have chosen to visit - also asks you to specify the time you wish to visit. Once again it is a matter of limiting the number of visitors so that your visit is as pleasant as possible.

  • With a ticket - date and time requested - do I have to arrive at the exact time or can I be a little late for my visit?

On the ticket that you will receive by email after your purchase, it is normally specified how much time - in addition to the scheduled time - you are granted in order not to lose your visit. Please note, for example, that a visit to Parc Güell entitles you to entry 30 minutes after the stated time. The Sagrada Familia ticket indicates a time slot of 15 minutes. It is therefore important to respect this time slot. If the ticket does not specify a time slot, then the timetable must be respected.

  • Why are we talking about combined tickets?

We talk about combined tickets in some of our offers when they offer, for example, two places to visit in Barcelona. The ticket itself is not combined. It is two separate tickets that we combine to make a more economical and attractive offer. You will receive these two tickets by email. As they are separate you can use them according to your preference when the tickets are open or according to the dates and times you choose.

  • How to benefit from a discount for example according to age or for students?

When purchasing your ticket, discounts are always indicated when available. For example, there are regular discounts for children in different age groups, ranging from free for very young children to discounts for seniors over 65 years of age. Discounted tickets for students are indicated in the same way.

Don't forget your proof of discounts - identity card, student card... - to be shown during your visit to Barcelona.

  • What are the means of payment for the tickets?

To pay online your tickets to visit Barcelona, are accepted the classic means of payment used worldwide such as:  Visa, Mastercard, Alipay, iDeal, GiroPay or Paypal.

  • What is the difference between tours and tickets?

The difference between tours and tickets is that both types of tickets allow you to visit the main monuments of the city with a guide who speaks your language for the tours (or guided tours) or by yourself with the tickets. You can find the guided tours and tickets in our section: Barcelona Tours

  30. @Bruno - Barcelona.comp (21 Feb 2020 - 13:00)

    Hello Bruno,
Even if you only need one airport transfer you have to choose between Aerobus and Montjuïc cable car. You can't mix the two offers.
    Thank you for your understanding.

  31. Aerobus - Bruno (21 Feb 2020 - 09:26)

I will only require Aerobus from Barcelona International (BCN) to he city - No return

Will I also be able to use Teleferic Montjuic Cable Car

  32. @Tracey - Barcelona.com (17 Feb 2020 - 10:40)

    Hello Tracey,
The hop on hop off bus ticket is valid for one calendar day. If you activate your pass at 1pm you will be able to use it until the bus stops running the same day.
    Enjoy your visit!

  33. Hop on Hop off - Day - Tracey (17 Feb 2020 - 08:56)

Is it for a calendar day or 24 hours?

Example - IF i activate my pass at 1pm do I have til 1pm the next day OR til the bus stops running the first night?

  34. @ST - Barcelona.com (7 Feb 2020 - 08:54)

    Hello ST,
The hop on hop off bus runs in only one direction - counterclockwise -. So effectively to go from Sagrada Familia to Diagonal or let's say to Casa Milà- La Pedrera you'll have to go the way to FC Barcelona Stadium and back to Diagonal. However, there are 5 crossroads that allow you to change lines and make it easier for you to discover the city.
    Best,

  35. Bus Route - ST (6 Feb 2020 - 09:38)

    Hello,

Does the bus run in a single direction, for instance on the blue route if I wanted to go from Sagrada Familia to Diagonal, would I have to ride the bus all the way around the route (going past Park Guell and Camp Nou) or does the bus go in both directions (passing Eixample) ?

    Thank you,
    ST

  36. @Rhian - Barcelona.com (5 Feb 2020 - 10:58)

    Hello Rhian,
Skip the line tickets included in the city pass are for both Sagrada Familia and Park Guell. For Park Guell of course this ticket opens the entrance of the monumental aera where you can stay as long as you want.
    Have a good visit,

  37. Skip the line - Rhian (5 Feb 2020 - 08:06)

    Hello,
It only states that skip the line is for sagrada familia ... is it not for both park guell and sagrada familia ?

And if it's for both is it for the middle section in park guell or just the free part?

    Thank you x

  38. @Irene - Barcelona.com (4 Feb 2020 - 09:56)

    Hello Irene,
There is no physical distribution of city pass. When you buy the city pass - which is not a card but a selection of entrance tickets - you receive them by email. You can then simply print it out or keep it in your smartphone to use it - without the need for the internet.
    Have a great journey.

  39. Can people purchase a physical city pass card? - Irene (4 Feb 2020 - 09:10)

How would someone from the United States be able to access the Barcelona City Pass if phones are on airplane mode? Can someone actually purchase a physical card to present at the ticket windows?

What are the details (names, contact websites etc) of the companies that deliver the "10% off attractions"?

Before purchasing the pass I want to find out the prices of these tours, days/operating times etc etc. ?

  45. Hop on/off route - Danielle (2 Feb 2020 - 11:48)

Can you share a map of the route the hop on/off bus travels. If not could you please list the sites or locations for the stops? Thanks

  46. @George - Barcelona.com (31 Jan 2020 - 12:24)

    Hello George,
The red route makes a stop at "world trade center" in Barcelona's harbor but it's too far from cruise center. So no, you can't use the hop on hop off bus to get to the cruise centre.
    Regards,

  47. Hop on hop off bus - George (31 Jan 2020 - 09:04)

Can I use the hop on hop off bus to get to the cruise centre?

  48. @Uschi - Barcelona.com (30 Jan 2020 - 09:26)

    Hello Uschi,
In your case you have to take the city pass basic for one day. You will be able to visit the Sagrada Familia and the Park Guell and enjoy all the advantages of the pass. Follow the link on top this page to book your pass.
    Regards,

  49. one day pass - Uschi (30 Jan 2020 - 09:06)

I will be in Barcelona on a cruise ship. Is there an option to get the Barcelona City Pass for 1 day only? I would like to have the fast track entrance included to the Sagrada Familia and Park Guell. Excursions from the ship do not offer all that and other daytrips do not work with our time in Barcelona.

  50. @Danielle - Barcelona.com (29 Jan 2020 - 09:36)

    Hello Danielle,
You can use the second part of the airport transfer up to 15 days after arrival.
    Enjoy your stay !
