Why buy the Barcelona City Pass?

  • The concept is very innovative. It is the first time that a city offers a formula that combines preferential skip-the-line tickets and accessible transportation, all online and by e-mail. We like the quick and practical aspects of the concept.
  • The choice of the two main must visit tourist attractions is a good idea: the Sagrada Familia and Park Güell are the two most popular monuments for visitors.
  • Discounts of 20% in other monuments, museums and places of interest are appreciable. The offer encompasses the important places that everyone should see.
  • However, you must visit these two places at least to be able to monetize the City Pass. If you also use to visit some other place with the offered discount, then it is really a must. Prepare your trip to Barcelona well to enjoy it
  • We recommend to buy it online as soon as possible. After your payment you will get an email where you can fill in the availability for the Sagrada Familia and Park Guell. Because these attractions have a lot of visitors they work with time slots to spread the amount of people (after your entrance you can stay as long as you want). When you buy it in advance we can guarantee more options in the availability.

Not a problem, it is the barcode which is important.

We recomend to make the reservation all together. The timeslots for Sagrada Familia and Park Güell run out quickly so it is important to make the reservations together or close to each other.

This means that it's an open ticket, no need to visit it on a specific date

Unfortunately Sagrada Familia or Park Guell doesn't allow any change after issuing the tickets.

What if I can not see one of the options available for the Sagrada Familia in the reservation process?

It means these tickets are sold out and not bookable at all. We recommend to choose one of the available options.

How can I get the Park Güell audioguide?

At the entrance of Park Güell the staff will inform you how to download the audioguide.

You do not necessarily need a phone to show your tickets. You can print them at home before you leave. The mobile phone is only one more solution to make it easier for you to access the monuments.

  8. Do I need a phone? - David Sturge (13 Aug 2019 - 10:14)

Do I need a phone to display the tickets, or can I print them at home before departing from home in Australia?

  9. @David Sturge - Barcelona.com (13 Aug 2019 - 10:08)

    Hello David Sturge,
Sorry for our lack of clarity. By "skip the line entrance" we were assuming that this includes clearly the admission fee.
No worries all skip the line or entrance tickets include the entrance fee!
    Have a good journey.

  10. Does 'skip the line entrance' include the admission fee? - David Sturge (13 Aug 2019 - 09:52)

Does 'skip the line entrance' include the admission fee, or do I still have to pay?

If the ticket includes the admission charge, it would be clearer if you said so!

    Have a great journey!

  30. Seeking your recommendaton - Joan (18 Jun 2019 - 07:24)

We plan to spend a couple of days before a cruise and then again after a cruise out of Barcelona. Should we purchase a one day pass before the cruise and then again a one day after the cruise? We would rest and take it easy on the other days before and after the cruise.

I still do not understand the airport transfer. If we purchase a pass to use to and from the airport, is it only then good for that service? And then take a taxi to get around the city on the one day before and the one day after the cruise?

    Thank you!

    Hello Terry,
Hop on Hop off operates from 9am to 8pm in summer (7pm in winter). You will need to use your pass on the 28th or the next day because it works on a daily basis.
Indeed in your case, you will only enjoy it for half a day, which is a little short.
Hope this could help you make your choice.

    Have a great jouyrney!

  44. Hop on Hop off pass - Terry (31 May 2019 - 08:26)

Is the Hop on Hop off pass good for 24 hours or just the day you purchase it? We arrive on August 28 around 11 am, stay overnight in a hotel, and then get on a cruise on August 29 later in the afternoon. I'm not sure if a one-day pass would only be good for August 28 or if it would run August 28 from noon until August 29 at noon.

Also, what time do the busses run? What are the hours?
