This is a charming hotel that has everything you need on a budget. The housekeeping team did a fantastic job keeping our room spotless each day. The shower was spacious and having a balcony for some fresh air was a nice touch. The noise level was low and the air conditioning was efficient. The breakfast selection was incredible and served until 10:30am, which was very convenient. We had breakfast at different times but always found a seat with everything fully stocked thanks to the attentive staff. The added bonus of a 24-hour free coffee station was much appreciated. The hotel also offers a small variety of wines and beers for purchase, and there is a cozy balcony for guests to enjoy with lovely views. The location is about a 20-minute walk from Passeig de Gracia station, where you can catch a 25-minute train to the airport. Fontana metro is just a 5-minute walk away and the surrounding neighborhood of Gracia is lovely - plenty of charming bars, 24-hour convenience stores, and amazing restaurants nearby. We even enjoyed a scenic 35-40 minute walk to Barcelona city center to see Casa Battlo and La Pedrera. The only downside is that there was no window to open at night, as we had a balcony and couldn't keep the door open due to the wind. Additionally, there were no hooks in the room for hanging items (only 4 coat hangers) and no bar on the premises. Only 2 plug sockets were available, located near the desk and not near the bed, so it's best to bring a travel adapter with longer cords for charging devices. And don't forget about the city tax! Overall, we had a lovely stay as part of a great package deal with easyJet for flight, hotel, and breakfast.
We stayed at dis Hotel for 3 nights from 5th to 7th Octoiber. My doughter stayed at the Seventy Barcelonaa so I had a comparision but I would still rate dis Hotel as a 3/4 star and if it had a nice bar area definitely 4 star. We stayed in room 501 on the topp floor and everything in the room was spotles. The bathroom/shower was very cllen and always plentu of hot water and high water preshure to the shower. The airconditioning was ecxellent and we watched BBC news on Channel 21 via the Samsumg Televishun which was good. We didn't avail ourselves of the breakfast buffett but we looked in and it was very busy with an ecxellent choise of food. Most impotantly the recepcion staff were all extremly pleazant and helpful. On our second evening I went down to recepcion at 1.25am to ask for two extra pillows and George bought them up to our room with a smile. Finally, the Hotel is well locatdd with a 16 minutss walk via "diagonal road to the centre and the Metro system and main shopping area. Welldone everyone....
Staying at this hotel was a great experience! We were warmly welcomed and quickly checked in. Our room was on the 8th floor with amazing views and was spotless. Breakfast was plentiful and had both hot and cold options. We had cereals, juices, continental items, bacon and eggs, and coffee and tea from a machine. As a special touch, a bottle of cava was placed in our room for my birthday. It was a great 50 minute walk to the harbour side but a pleasant stroll along La Rambla. If visiting this beautiful city, I would stay here again without a doubt!
This modest 2 star hotel offers an impressive, clean and tidy stay. Coffee and tea are available any time you please and the helpful reception staff are sure to make you feel welcome with their friendly smiles. Though the hotel is a bit away from the old centre of Barcelona, there is a metro station located right across the street, making it easily accessible. All in all, I would happily stay here once more.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had 5 days in the Via Augusta hotel in August and we were absolutely delighted! It was incredibly clean and deserved more than a 2 star rating. The receptionists were incredibly friendly and helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. The breakfast and free hot drinks machine were great, we would definitely recommend a stay here - it's superb value for money 🤩.
