Our stay at Hostal Bedmates in Barcelona was simply perfect. The apartment provided us with plenty of warmth during our visit and was impeccably clean. The staff was kind, attentive and helpful with all of our inquiries. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to the city. What impressed us even more was that the apartment even had appropriate wine glasses, catering to all our needs. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My family and I had booked a 3-night stay at the end of October 2023 in an apartment for 5 adults. We were excited to explore Barcelona and had booked well in advance. However, upon our arrival, we were disappointed to find that the apartment had 3 bathrooms, but two of them were emitting a strong and unpleasant smell. 😞😷 We couldn't even sleep on the first night because one of the toilets was right next to our room and the odor was overpowering, despite the door being closed. The next morning, we complained to the reception and were told that this was a common problem in the city. 🤔 After much persistence, they offered us a bigger apartment for 8 people for one night only, with the promise of moving us to a different location for the third night. This apartment was decent with no smell, but on the third night, we were told to move to an apartment nearby. However, upon arrival, they realized it could only accommodate 4 people and tried to make us go back to the first smelly apartment. 😡 After a lot of arguing, we ended up staying in two separate rooms. This ruined our stay in Barcelona, as we wasted time and had a difficult and unpleasant first night. 😞💔
Our experience at Hostal & Apartamentos Bedmates exceeded our expectations. Cleanliness was fantastic and the rooms were tidied each day. The location was ideal, just a short 15-minute stroll to downtown. Sergio, the manager, was such a great help, giving us invaluable insight into what to do and see. He was so friendly and accommodating. The price for our stay was very reasonable. We'd highly recommend Hostal & Apartamentos Bedmates to anyone visiting Barcelona.
We recently stayed at Hostal Bedmates when visiting Barcelona for the first time. We were very impressed with the location of the hostel, which was close to a variety of transportation options and local attractions. Though there is no breakfast provided, there were a plethora of shops, restaurants, and fast food establishments nearby. We arrived from the airport quite late at night, but found the hostel with relative ease. The rooms were clean, tidy and equipped with very comfortable mattresses, which allowed for a restful night of sleep after a long day of sightseeing. We would like to extend a special thanks to both Edvard and Sergio for their hospitality and kindness. They made us feel both welcome and looked after. Our time in Barcelona was overall a great experience and we left with nothing but happy memories.
