My recent stay at a hotel in Barcelona was truly wonderful. The rooms were beautiful and thoughtfully designed with a unique flair. The rooftop bar was a highlight, providing stunning views of the city including the iconic Sagrada Familia. The breakfast service was exceptional - no need for a buffet when you can enjoy delicious dishes with such impeccable service. Overall, a fantastic experience.
This was our first experience staying at this particular hotel brand and we were initially drawn to it because of the flexible check-in and check-out times. However, we were left disappointed as we didn't feel like we got our money's worth. We had to request basic bathroom amenities like cotton buds and a shower cap, and there was no Nespresso machine in the room. The only way to mirror the TV was with an android phone and there were no slippers or bathrobes provided. Despite paying for a room with a bathtub, we encountered a draining issue that was not resolved despite bringing it to the hotel's attention. In the future, we will stick with our preferred hotel brands and simply pay the extra fee for a late check-out. While the hotel may be conveniently located in front of a metro station and a shopping center, it was a bit of a trek to reach the main tourist area. On the plus side, the neighborhood was quiet at night. Overall, while we acknowledge that there are loyal patrons of this brand, it just didn't feel like the right fit for us.
