This establishment may not quite meet the standards of a 3-star hotel. To begin with, I specifically requested a double room but received a twin instead. The lack of basic amenities, such as a kettle and hygiene bin, was also disappointing. Furthermore, the staff did not provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Adding to our unpleasant experience, we encountered a cockroach during breakfast.
🏨 The hotel itself is pretty basic, but the 👍location is absolutely brilliant! 🍳 Breakfast is fine, though it can get busy and some people don't seem to know how to lift their chairs without scraping them on the floor. 🧹Rooms are cleaned daily 💤 (TOP TIP) bring ear plugs for night time as the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything - people talking, showering, coughing, and even peeing. 🚫 No kettle in the room is a downside.
Upon our arrival at the "Barcelona House" Hotel, we were greeted by friendly and cheerful staff who efficiently got us settled in. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room was already prepared for us, a wonderful welcome after a tiring flight. The room was immaculately clean and had a charming appeal. The only slight let down for us was the absence of any streaming services like YouTube or Netflix. After a long day of exploring, it would have been nice to kick back and watch something in various languages. However, the impressive breakfast spread made up for it. There were numerous delicious options to choose from, leaving us pleasantly surprised. In summary, our stay at the "Barcelona House" Hotel was truly enjoyable.
Our stay at this hotel was surprisingly better than expected! The location was perfect, just steps away from La Rambla. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread was impressive and delicious. The room was cozy and spotless, and we appreciated the daily room service. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would definitely choose to stay here again.
This hotel is perfectly situated near popular tourist spots such as Gothic Quarter, La Rambla, Plaza Catalunya, and Metro stations. If you enjoy exploring on foot, this location is ideal. The staff at reception are friendly and accommodating. The breakfast spread is impressive, with a variety of pastries, eggs, hot and cold beverages, breads, cheese, tomatoes, ham, salami, and more. The breakfast was included in our reservation, which was a nice touch. During our four-night stay, we appreciated coming back to a fresh, tidy room with clean towels after a day of sightseeing in BCN. The bathroom was equipped with toiletries and a hair dryer. Our triple room was comfortable and enjoyable. I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again during my next visit to Barcelona.
