PROS: - The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and friendly; they were able to help us with whatever we needed in a matter of seconds and we had one of the best experiences we've ever had with hotel staff - The cleaning crew did an amazing job; the place was spotless and they vacuumed and washed the floors on a daily basis - The location is unbeatable, situated in the middle of it all CONS: - The AC system needs major repair/reconstruction; it barely worked and when it did, it just blew hot air - The shower cabins were really slippery and we both took a tumble; it was like standing on ice!
4 stars, but could be 4.5 if these issues fixed.
Overall a very positive experience. The interior was modern and fun. The hotel was in an excellent location in the Eixample, close to the wonderful shops of the Passeig de Gràcia, and a mere walk away from many of the city's illustrious Modernista buildings, particularly Gaudi's La Pedrera. An extra treat was the view from our room of the back of La Pedrera apartments and rooftop. Additionally, there was a solarium on the first floor where guests can sit and admire the surrounding courtyards during the mild evenings. The staff were friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. However, it's not quite a 5 star rating as there were few electrical outlets, the curtains were not functioning properly, and the suite we stayed in offered little amenities like tables, shelves or a luggage area. Moreover, the modern design meant that the tiled walls and floors let sound travel from other rooms. Fortunately, there was none of the road noise from the busy street near the entrance. In conclusion, it doesn't quite reach the 4.5/5 but a solid 4 stars once these issues are fixed.
This hotel is located near the famous Paseig de Gracia and its variety of shops, along with the subway stop. But their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. During the check-in process they kept our passports for 3 days, and had apparently put them in a “lost and found” drawer without informing us. The air conditioning in the penthouse had broken during our stay, making it unbearably hot. What's more, after notifying the staff of a pair of Airpods we had left behind, they claimed they couldn't find them. After booking through Expedia, we've been trying to contact a manager without success. Although they were friendly on our arrival, our overall experience was very negative.
I definitely recommend the Limonaia hotel.
I recently stayed in a hotel that was booked through booking.com and it was a great experience. Everything was very comfortable and clean, and the receptionist was helpful. The location was perfect; close to a variety of restaurants, stores, and metro stations. The price was great for the quality of the hotel and I would definitely recommend it.
We had two nights at 🤩🤩 this incredible accommodation and it couldn't have been more perfect! We had an amazing view of De Pedrera, plus our own private outdoor area, and then a lovely lounge and terrace. The room was spotless and the cleaning staff did an impeccable job. We didn't pay for breakfast but we went for the €7.50 breakfast buffet, which was the best meal we had after 5 nights in Spain 🤤🤤🤤 The location was great as well 😍😍😍 Highly recommended!
