Pepa Pla
Slow food, Catalan and cosmopolitan
Make room for young people and give room to creativity! At Pepa Pla you are immediately in a cosmopolitan atmosphere: a Mexican chef, his second Italian, a Chilean sommelière and an Argentine waitress..
Four young people who improvise accurately on Catalan cuisine, forcibly revisited, with a passion for natural wines. That had everything to please us. This was the case.
A simple little menu that goes to the essential, namely that day as tapas: "Boquerones y anchovas" (8 €), a Japanese pizza okonomiyaki con foie (6.5 €), mushrooms with wasabi (6.5 € ), squid with chimichurri (17.5 €). A menu that offers new dishes every day depending on the market and the harvest of their own garden. Pepa Pla claims his preference for natural wines, that is to say, organic, with little or no sulfite. We congratulate them for this radical choice really in in the spirit of the times.
The place is a former bookstore, the atmosphere is particularly warm and pleasant. A real good time two steps away, but far enough, from the Plaza Catalunya. Do not hesitate.
