This hotel is truly amazing. It is situated in the center of Barcelona and I stayed there for four days, which were absolutely incredible. The breakfast they offer is simply outstanding. I am definitely planning on returning to Barcelona and staying at this hotel again in the future.
The check in process was not up to our expectations as a titanium bonvoy member. However, after sharing our experience on this platform, a manager named Cesk reached out and invited us to their restaurant as a form of compensation. We were pleasantly surprised by his efforts and truly grateful for his kind gesture. Despite our initial disappointment, we would consider staying at this hotel again in the future, as their attempt to reconcile was appreciated.
The hotel was truly exceptional and the service was top-notch. I would absolutely return for another stay. It's conveniently located near the Gothic Quarters with various attractions within a 15-minute walk. The added bonus of a nearby market and laundromat made for an even more enjoyable experience.
Our check-in experience was not up to par. Despite being a loyal member and booking well in advance, we informed the hotel ahead of time that we would be arriving early and requested an upgrade. We even booked a package that guaranteed an upgrade with my titanium status. However, upon arrival at 9am, we were told that our room wouldn't be ready until 3pm. Frustrated, I noticed that other guests were being given rooms while we waited. To make matters worse, as hours went by, I saw that there were upgraded rooms available online, but they seemed to disappear as more guests arrived. Why didn't they upgrade us and release our room earlier? It was a disappointing experience. And to top it off, when we finally got to our room at 2:40pm, it was one of the worst rooms in the hotel with a view of a brick wall. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this hotel and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. We had originally booked another hotel but decided to change a few weeks beforehand, and now I regret that decision. Extremely disappointed.
