a great address
Our meal at this charming restaurant was marked by exquisite dishes, including chuletón as a main course and innovative starters such as wild boar mortadella. The attentive service and unique desserts, although limited in choice, completed a memorable culinary experience.

  2. Photo of La Pedrera - Blakley 42 (23 Apr 2014 - 08:30)

The (second?) photo identified as La Pedrera (Casa Mila) is actually a photo of Casa Batllo, another Gaudi building, on the Gracia. While I'm at it, here are some hopefully useful facts about these buildings:
.1) La Pedrara is undergoing some kind of renovation, and accordingly, the entire exterior is draped with a fabric which completely obscures the exterior. A tour of the interior is still available, including an apartment on the upper-most floor, the roof, and the attic, etc., but a better tour if you only visit one Gaudi building, i.e., other than Sagrada Familia and Park Guell, is Casa Batllo.
    2) The tour through Casa Batllo, utilizing a self-guided audio machine with headphones, was way more interesting and way more insightful into the genuis of Gaudi. I also found the building itself, with its nature-inspired decorations and Mosaic structures on the roof more appealing--beautiful even. Lastly, if memory serves, this tour is run by a dedicated foundation, who seem to really enjoy what they are doing, and want you to come away from the tour with an insight to this great man. I think that's what we did...
